Join the carbon revolution - everyone welcome.
GoinGreen created the market for EVs (electric vehicles) and according to Newsweek is 'the largest zero emissions auto distributor on the planet today.' (Feb '08).
The G-Wiz AEV (Automatic Electric Vehicle) was launched in London in 2004 and GoinGreen was voted Business Start-Up Of The Year. In 2007 the company won the Industry Market Leadership award and was voted one of the Global Top 40 Low Carbon Pioneers by European Business magazine.
By 2006 the G-Wiz had become the UK and the world's best selling EV and London the electric vehicle capital of the world. GoinGreen is the first - and still the only - retailer of electric vehicles with a proven track record of product performance and after sales service.
The company's social purpose is to encourage responsible driving. In particular, it is to minimise the effects of climate change and pollution from motoring and to bring about safer roads for all road users.
We want to see green people.
From the beginning the company's goal has been to enable as many motorists as possible to 'go green'.
Before GoinGreen, an electric vehicle typically cost twice as much as one with an internal combustion engine. The company reduced the purchase price by nearly 50% by eliminating many of the traditional industry costs. GoinGreen sells direct to customers with no dealers, no showrooms, no advertising, no brochures and no 'car salesmen'. As volume increases, the company has reduced the purchase price of G-Wiz, passing on the savings to customers in order to achieve its goal.
Most test drives are undertaken by G-Wiz owners, rather than by GoinGreen employees. The truth, warts and all, because we think the low carbon future should be built this way.
Because GoinGreen does not advertise, growth is viral, by word of mouth and mouse. G-Wiz owners who are pleased with their vehicle can also reduce their servicing costs by up to 50% by introducing new customers.
Most GoinGreen customers lead hectic lives, so GoinGreen introduced a mobile servicing option whereby the company's engineers will undertake G-Wiz servicing and maintenance at customers' home or work place, the first company in the world to do this.
Small steps, but this is how a revolution begins.
Apparently it takes only 1% of people to create a movement that can change the world. Let's go.
