Zero exhaust emissions.
The G-Wiz is emission free, with no CO2 or other exhaust emissions, ever.
Independent tests have shown that when charged with electricity from renewable sources, total emissions from the G-Wiz are virtually zero, an emissions impact of a reduction of 98% (EcoLane).
If recharged using ordinary electricity* then total emissions generated at the power station are approximately two thirds less than that emitted by the average car with an internal combustion engine. The emissions figure is 63 gms CO2 / km, the emissions impact is a reduction of at least 74% (EcoLane).
In terms of the bigger climate change picture, only reductions in emissions of this magnitude may prevent disastrous climate events.
The government has announced its commitment to reducing emissions at coal fired power stations by up to 90% within a decade. This means that whatever the source of electricity, electric vehicles are and will remain the cleanest affordable vehicles on the road.
Climate neutral.
Uniquely, the G-Wiz is also climate neutral because GoinGreen also offset the CO2 produced during the manufacture, shipping and first two years' driving of every G-Wiz sold. We work with carbon offset specialist Carbonica - www.carbonica.org - who have calculated the amount of carbon generated, we pay them a climate levy per vehicle, the money is then used to fund afforestation and forest restoration programmes in the tropical rainforests. We work on the principle of reducing emissions where we can and offsetting where we can to maximise the benefit of driving electric. The levy isn't optional and it comes off our bottom line.
No local pollution.
More people are killed each year in the UK by pollution than by road accidents, with London the most polluted city in the UK. With no exhaust emissions from a G-Wiz local air pollution is dramatically reduced. Noise pollution is also improved significantly because with no engine, the G-Wiz is significantly quieter, making it more pleasant for both occupants and other road users.
Sustainable.
A G-Wiz uses around 75% less energy than a similar size car with an internal combustion engine. This is because of the high efficiency of battery electric vehicles. This efficiency and use of clean energy makes the G-Wiz one the most sustainable vehicles commercially available in the world.
